Join us on Saturday, June 11 at the Willis Tower in Chicago for SEAOI's Annual Awards Banquet. Online RSVPs closed at noon on June 8. 

Please note: Willis Tower requires all entrants to check in with a photo ID at the security desk. 

The evening will begin on the 99th floor with a cocktail hour and passed hors d'oeuvres, followed by dinner, the awards presentation, and dancing. Popular Chicago jazz pianist and composer Fred Simon will play throughout the banquet.

 

At 10pm, guests will be treated to a special after-hours visit to the Skydeck.

On your way out, be sure to visit the Fazlur Khan sculpture on the lower level. 

 

We will announce the winners of the Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards, and honor the recipients of our three special awards:

  • The John F. Parmer Award honors a structural engineer whose distinguished career is acknowledged by their peers to be an example of excellence.
  • The SEAOI Service Award recognizes an individual for outstanding contributions to SEAOI or to the profession of structural engineering in the State of Illinois.
  • The Outstanding Young Engineer Award recognizes an engineer aged 35 or younger who is an example of excellence in structural engineering.

 

Willis Tower Entrance:

You may enter Willis Tower at either 233 South Wacker Drive or 232 South Franklin Street -- both entrances have security desks for check in.

 

Willis Tower Security:

All guests will need a valid Photo ID and will be required to check in with security, go through the metal detectors and enter the elevator area.  You then will be directed to an elevator that takes you to the 66th floor, then an escalator to the 67th floor and an elevator to the 99th floor.

 

Parking:

Tower Parking self-park is across the street on Franklin, between Adams and Jackson streets. Discounted parking vouchers are available upon your departure for $15.00.
