June 16, 2022 - 5:00pm to 8:00pm

The SEAOI Awards Celebration is the highlight of our program year! This year, it will look a little different. Instead of a formal sit-down dinner and awards program, we invite you to join us for the Happiest of All Hours at On Tour Brewing Company to celebrate the Excellence in Structural Engineering Awards winners, the SEAOI Special Awards winners, and seeing our friends and colleagues IN PERSON! It's been too long!

WHY ARE WE CHANGING IT UP?

Just like the rest of the world, we're emerging from our stringent social-distancing protocols into in-person events. And while event space is at a premium, we also wanted to provide outdoor space for our guests, and the ability to mingle freely. We also recognize that many people are planning long-anticipated travel this summer, and we believe that moving this year's event to a weeknight happy hour will allow the majority of people interested in attending the Celebration the opportunity to do so.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

A lot of engineers! We're still finalizing the program, but we will be celebrating all of the award winners, reconnecting with colleagues and friends, and enjoying tasty beverages,TACOS from Big Star Taco Truck and cupcakes from Molly's Cupcakes. We will also have the opportunity to tour the brewery.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Unlike Zoom meetings, your IRL camera will be on! Unlike the traditional Annual Banquet, black tie is discouraged. We want you to be comfortable! Business casual is a good mid-point for what to wear. In light of the heatwave, please feel free to wear shorts!

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

We want to see everyone here! EISE FInalists, SEAOI Members, friends, and family are certainly encouraged to attend. And you're not locked into specific times, either. You can stop by for one drink and a taco, or stay for the duration of the event.

These past few years have brought us challenges and opportunities, change and growth. We would love to see you at the Awards Celebration, and we hope you can join us!
