Predicted vs. Actual Performance of Deep Foundations in Chicago -- SOLD OUT
Bill Walton, P.E., S.E. will discuss deep foundation performance of past and recent high rise Chicago structures where we compare predicted settlement with actual settlement data based on the help of General Contractor surveyors during construction. Recent projects include 111 South Wacker, 444 West Lake (RiverPoint),300 N. LaSalle, 400 North Wabash (Trump Tower), and 1000 South Clark< The use of in-situ pressuremeter and dilatometer testing in our soil and bedrock has allowed us make accurate predictions of tall building settlements. Bill’s experience in Chicago with STS and GEI has allowed him to work with so many talented architects, structural engineers, foundation contractors and general contractors to accumulate a collection of interesting case histories he would like to share with you.
