June 20, 2018 - 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Interested in upping your game by reading your way to new ideas?  Join the WiSE book club!  We read business and career-focused books and discuss over a lunch hour. This event is open to anyone interested -- ALL are welcome!

For our June meeting, we will be reading Radical Candor: Be a Kick-Ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity by Kim Scott.

We have three hardcover copies of Radical Candor we’re raffling off to Book Club participants! If you’re interested in entering the raffle, please email scrain@seaoi.org. Winners will be randomly selected on Monday May 7th at 9 am.

Radical Candor™ is the ability to Challenge Directly and show you Care Personally at the same time. Radical Candor will help you and all the people you work with do the best work of your lives and build the best relationships of your career.

Radical Candor really just means saying what you think while also giving a damn about the person you’re saying it to. Why is it so rare that such a simple thing feels radical? At Candor, Inc. we are building a set of tools that make it much easier to be Radically Candid.

Kim Scott is the co-founder of Candor, Inc., which builds tools to make it easier to follow the advice she offers in the book. She is also the author of three novels.
