Join Us at the Greater Chicago Food Depository!

SEAOI has a lot to be thankful for this season!  Join the YEC in giving back at the Greater Chicago Food Depository on Saturday, November 7th to repack donated food and other products. The GCFD receives a lot of the food in bulk quantities and volunteers are needed to break down donations to more manageable quantities for redistribution to participating food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters in Cook County.

COVID-19 Precautions:

Social distancing will be practiced and masks will be required for the full duration of the site visit.

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 the GCFD has increased cleaning and sanitizing their facility along with requiring all volunteers to wear a face covering or mask. Additionally, anyone who fits into any of these categories is not permitted in GCFD facilities at this time:

-You have been exposed to COVID-19, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities.

-Within the past 14 days, you or members of your household have experienced any symptoms associated with COVID-19.
