Senior Structural & Bridge Engineer - Full Time Position

WBK is seeking an experienced and responsive Senior Structural & Bridge Engineer, committed to personal service and professional growth, who will support our growing structural engineering practice. The selected candidate will provide technical guidance to junior engineers from startup to closeout of projects and perform QA/QC of design calculations and plans. Completion of FHWA-NHI Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridge classes is preferred. Experience working with Micro-Station, commonly used structural analysis, design and load rating software such as MDX, Larsa 4D, AASHTOWare, Bentley Leap Bridge and OpenBridge Modeler is a plus.
Typical Responsibilities & Duties:
Perform Structural Engineering Services for Local Agency, Illinois Department of Transportation and Illinois Tollway projects;
Preparation and/or review of structural design calculations and construction contract documents;
QA/QC of design details and plans;
Field inspection of structural elements;
Preparation and/or review of Technical and Project Reports.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis;
A preferred range of five to ten years of bridge and structural design experience;
State of Illinois Professional Engineering License;
State of Illinois Structural Engineering License or capable of obtaining in two years.
