SparkShop is a STEM education nonprofit that delivers hands-on engineering programs to Chicago elementary schools. Their curriculum guides 4th and 5th graders through design thinking, introducing them to new skills and pathways. They are passionate about equity in STEM, directing outreach and resources to underrepresented students at no cost to their schools. This year, SparkShop is reaching over 2500 students across 40 elementary schools.

Shonali DitzSparkShop Shonali is the Executive Director & Co-Founder of SparkShop, a Chicago non-profit delivering engineering to Chicago elementary schools. She holds a B.S. in Manufacturing and Design Engineering from Northwestern University. After working in the automotive and motorsports industry, she and her co-founder launched SparkShop to make engineering accessible to underrepresented students in Chicago. Since 2017, they have raised over $2.5M and brought free STEM programs to over 9,000 students.
