This nationwide initiative under the direction of the NCSEA SEER Committee focuses on the prevention of unsafe re-occupancy of buildings after disasters by training and certifying damage assessment professionals.
NCSEA’s Structural Licensure Committee actively engages with SEAs to assist with the adoption of consistent licensing laws and rules in the interest of public safety, especially relating to licensure of structural engineers. NCSEA collaborates with the Structural Engineering Licensure Coalition (SELC) and the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) and its Participating Organization Liaison Council (POLC) to further this effort.
The Code Advisory Committee (CAC) advances NCSEA’s commitment to technical excellence by exerting a positive influence on the development and application of relevant codes and standards on behalf of practicing structural engineers.
