Moderator

Luke Edwards is a junior designer within the structural engineering studio of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill’s Chicago office, where he has gained experience in the design of a variety of structures ranging from mixed-use high-rise towers to transportation hubs to large-scale manufacturing facilities. His professional interests are largely centered around the integration of statistical data and processes into traditional approaches of structural engineering, including the study of probabilistic loads, stochastic process-based structural reliability, and risk-informed performance-based design, with specific interest in wind loading and its consequences on the behavior of tall buildings.
