Shedd Aquarium is undergoing an ambitious Experience Evolution ahead of its centennial year in 2030 to restore the aquarium's historic architecture, modernize the experience for guests, upgrade life support technology, create more expansive, realistic habitats for animals, and prepare the iconic institution for the next 100 years of service. The project is split into 4 phases. Phase 2 reopened to the public in late 2024. Phase 3 completely reimagines the entire north section of the building and is currently in construction.
Join YEC for a site visit through Phase 3 to see how the team is building a new building within a building!
